To manage the HR affairs for the Corporate Staff Directors of Tax, Treasury, Internal Audit and Accounting and their respective management teams, we currently seek a highly accomplished

Global HR Business Partner

This is a dynamic, prominent and endlessly interesting HR role for an experienced HR professional with a proven affinity for Treasury, Tax and Audit. It offers a truly international dimension encompassing 230 employees, including 15 to 20 Senior Executives, around the world. This is very much a ‘hands-on' position in which collaborate closely with the line manager and act as value advisor. As such, it is essential that you have an active knowledge of Dutch labor law and other Dutch HR issues, such as the rules and regulations regarding illness and prolonged absence from work.

The role is based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, and you will be joining a multinational and multicultural organization that is committed to your personal and professional development.

Salary indication: EUR 70-80.000 per year.
 
Responsibilities and deliverables
Within this context, you provide high level yet hands-on HR partnership and expertise to the Corporate Management teams, acting as coach and counsel and helping them to achieve their objectives. You also drive the AkzoNobel talent processes to ensure capable and motivated employees, and develop organizational and functional capability through forward looking hiring and pro-active succession planning.

Thus you are a ‘change champion' ensuring appropriate cultures and organizational models, and challenging senior management. In addition you cooperate with and direct/monitor the performance of country HR Services and Centers of Expertise, ensuring the appropriate level of service to the Corporate Finance departments. At all times you share best practices and seek improvement as you align with the other global functions to ensure consistency of HR practices and processes. Finally, you initiate and drive process improvements for the broader global Finance function within AkzoNobel. These activities require you to operate within a number of networks including the Functional Global Finance HR & IM team, and the AkzoNobel Talent Management and Functional Capability team.

Candidate profile

You set high standards for yourself in terms of performance and you are dissatisfied with average performance. All these qualities will come into effect as you balance the needs of multiple stakeholders (BU/Function/Country) and demonstrate the skills required to operate within our matrix organization.

To apply, you should have a university degree and six to ten years of relevant working experience. Recent HR experience with Treasury, Tax and Audit is a significant advantage. Fluent written and spoken English is essential.
