Functie-omschrijving

Objective:
As Manager Human Resources you are responsible for the translation of the overall strategy into a strategy for Human Resources and you provide leadership for the companies (160 employees) based human resources programs and systems.

Description of Activities

Development

  • Preparation and in cooperation with the VP Europe, the MT members and the HR SSC Manager, implement policies in areas like:
  • Recruitment, selection, introduction, hiring and dismissal
  • Organizational Development
  • Personal and career development, job grading and performance management
  • Compensation and benefits
  • Health Management
  • Safety and Environmental practices
  • Working hours
  • Participation (including Works Council)
  • HR Administration
  • Advise about and initiate activities on organizational and communication structures, management styles, quality of labor.

Execution

  • Implement and execute guidelines, policies and rules
  • Maintain optimal staffing
  • Manage the department

Review

  • Track social trends and convert this in HR Policies
  • Maintain budgets
  • Monitor job assignments, job grading and application of the policies


Communication and leadership

Communicate (in English) to:

  • Vice President Europe on daily affairs and policies, staffing execution and reporting.
  • Vice President of HR on staffing, execution and reporting.
  • Mgr HR SSC on "shared and local" activities.
  • Leaders from across the organization on policies, health and safety, staffing and organizational changes.
  • Employees in the department on work performance, problems and solutions.
  • Other staff about employee relations, supply of information.
  • Works council and VGWM committee.
  • Public authorities, employers and employee organizations on information retrieval, consultation, troubleshooting problems, reporting.
  • Consultants on personnel and legal matters.
  • Agencies on hiring staff.
  • Business Association, ARBO, pension fund participation and special cases.
  • HR managers from other offices on sharing best practices.

Leadership
Provides direct leadership to the department with two employees by:

  • Organization of work.
  • Monitoring progress and quality.
  • Motivation, performance management and development.


Authorities and Responsibilities

Is authorized to:

  • Drafting finalizing and signing employment contracts.
  • Preparing, implementing and evaluating personnel policies.
  • Requested and unsolicited report to the management.

Is responsible for:

  • Optimal staffing.
  • Preparation and execution of adequate policies.
  • Training, education and introduction programs.
  • Support and develop internal career opportunities.
  • Budget control.
  • Proper execution of the Health and Safety Policy.
  • Compliance with ethical handbook.

Functie-eisen

B.S. Degree in Human Resources or Organizational Development.
Excellent interpersonal, communication skills required. Ability to interact with management and employees from a variety of backgrounds/disciplines. Demonstrated ability to drive results.
Dutch and English both in verbal and written communication.
Minimum 3 years experience in a HR Manager or senior consulting generalist HR position role in an international business environment.
